Our 3 favourite kid- friendly beaches in Ibiza
Summer holidays are all about sun, sand and sea. Ibiza has 210 kilometres of beach and while single people might enjoy trekking across rocky cliffs and sliding down baking hot sand dunes parents know that true bliss comes from happy kids.
The four rules of family beach going are:
- Easy access to the water.
- Easy access to ice cream.
- Lots of sunscreen.
- Peekaboo Ibiza Beach Baby package!
Here’s Peekaboo Ibiza’s top three family-friendly Ibiza beaches.
Cala Nova
It has a beautiful wildness to it. Surrounded by lush pine forests the golden sands gently slope to the water making for an easy entry into the sparkling sea. The Atzaro group has two eateries – an established restaurant specialising in reimagined Spanish classics and a cute little kiosk. At the other end, the colourful Aiyanna serves up a delicious Mediterranean menu. Pedaloes provide kid-friendly fun while the mini fun fair at Es Canar delivers the perfect post-beach playtime.
Las Salinas
This is one of Ibiza more famous beaches in the south of the island. The long stretch of velvety soft sand hosts myriad beach bars and a daily parade of characters. It´s great for families as the water is pristine and easily accessible. There are loads of water sports such as jet-skis, kayaks, pedaloes and catamarans. It’s easy to spend all day here dipping in and out of the water and people watching. A walk to the pirate tower past some interesting rock sculptures is a must do for older kids.
Niu Blau
Moments from Santa Eulalia you will find Niu Blau Beach. Often overlooked by the hoards of tourists this lovely little cove is rarely crowded. There are three spots to eat including Pura Vida restaurant where they have a delicious kids menu and kids entertainment. Gentle waters and plenty of shade from towering pine trees make it perfect for the little ones and the quiet vibe often attracts herons and cormorants. Pedaloes are available from one of the restaurants along with sunbed rental. This is an easy spot to make an all-day family camp.
